My Deal of the Week

January 12th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

One of my favorite stores to shop over the past two months has been Rite Aid drugstore. They have a program called Single Check Rebates, which allows you to enter your receipt information online right after your purchase and, once it’s approved, request your rebate check at the end of the monthly cycle. In December they had Duracell batteries on sale (9.99 for a 16 pack of AA, etc.) in addition to a special rebate: Buy $20 worth of batteries and get a $10 rebate. This came just in time for the Holiday toys we purchased for the girls. At the end of December I requested my check and got it in the mail two weeks later. What I really like is that there are no paper forms to fill out, no wasting of a stamp, no making copies and no waiting (without even knowing if the company received the rebate). Of course I have gotten several great rebate items through the mail, but they are few and far between.

Rebate items can be found in the Rite Aid weekly circular as well as a their monthly Rebate Directory, which is usually in the front of the store next to the circulars. This week I scored on Huggies Diapers and Wipes.
Here’s the deal on two separate rebates:
  • Purchase (1) :Huggies Jumbo Snug & Dry or Supreme Diapers, 22-40 ct. OR Pull-Ups Training Pants, 21-29 ct., OR Good Nites Youth Pants of Boxers, 11-17 ct. and receive (1) $2 rebate from Rite Aid.
  • Purchase (2): Huggies Baby Wipes Tubs 64-80 ct. OR Baby Wash and Lotion, OR Washcloths 20 ct and receive (1) $2 rebate.
On top of this, if you purchase $25 worth of Kimberly Clark products (the manufacturer of Huggies) you receive a $10 Rite Aid gift certificate.
Well, Huggies are on sale this week! I got a package of size 3 diapers for $9.99, a package of Pull-Ups for $9.99, two tubs of Wipes at $3.49 each.
Total= $26.96 (which qualified me for the $10 gift certificate)
- $1.50 coupon for Huggies diapers
- $2.00 coupon for Pull-Ups
- .50 coupon for Wipes (all 3 coupons were in this Sundays Smart Source insert)
- $4.00 in rebates
- $10 gift certificate, which I will use on a future Rite Aid Purchase once I receive it
-$5/$25 coupon when you sign up for Rite Aid here
= $3.96 Total
woohoo!
Rite Aid also has certain Hershey candy on sale 2/$1. I had a $1/2 coupon for Hershey Whips bars
=FREE
*You only see one bar in the picture because my husband had already eaten the other :)
